We have been really busy at Cobham Consulting recently, adding to our charity and community events with four more events; attending the Jazz at Hemel Hempstead to support the UK Langa Township Pre-School Trust which supports 240 children in Cape Town; giving careers advice at Berkhamsted School Career Evening; working in the CV Clinic helping candidates with their CVs as well as manning a stand at the Tring Job Show; and last Friday at the Hemel Hempstead Ambassadors visiting the new college - it looks amazing.

Visiting West Herts College in Hemel Hempstead was very interesting seeing the facilities and the fab colours that have been used - it was also really interesting to hear about the training and apprentice options now available.  In the current recruitment market the candidates have a real choice and we have been speaking to clients more and more about it. You can choose to recruit the best candidate in the market and then use the apprentice training to support their job training.

Here at Cobham Consulting that is exactly what we have done.  We have assessed the training providers, the different apprenticeship qualifications and we could clearly see the best option for us at Cobham Consulting was for both Alice and Megan to study for their Institute of Recruiters qualification. The qualification enhances their skills, gives them a recognised recruitment qualification coupled with the job security of a permanent position through the apprenticeship scheme.
